Psalm 23

In Psalm 23, David writes, "He leads me beside quiet waters..."  One doesn't get the idea that Jesus was ever in a hurry.  In our hectic world, we sometimes forget that doing more isn't always what God wants from us.  We are not going to gain entry into His Kingdom because "we did a lot of stuff" for Him.  No, rather he wants our hearts to be in the right place.  I would suggest that when the pace of life becomes too fast, find your own quiet place to spend time with Jesus.  It will be time well worth spending.

Have a blessed week!

Great comment Don, I agree.

We will never find peace when we are trying to please God with our busy work. And, it often takes a time away to realize that. Even Jesus himself, needed time alone with his Father. (Mark 1:35)

Another thought.... When we do have our hearts (and priorities) right with God, we find "true" peace not only in the absence of a busy life, but perhaps in the midst of it. I like the story of Jesus on the boat in the middle of a storm. Where was he found? Asleep down below! (Mark 8:24)

Now, that's true peace!!
